Best Jobs in Lagos Life, Ranked

We have recorded 33 careers across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. Here is how to choose between them. All pay is per one-hour shift at entry level. Promotion pay is not verified.

Best job with no skill gate

25 careers need no skill at all. The best of them is Refining (Operator Trainee) at ₦14,000 a shift, about ₦70,000 over its working week. Close behind are Airport Staff (₦12,000) and Banking (₦11,600).

A note on Refining: the map still lists the Refinery as "coming soon", but the job already shows on the Jobs app with no gate. Treat it as live but keep an eye on it.

Highest pay overall

• Highest per shift: Medicine at ₦21,000, which needs fitness 3 and a mid-level standing.
• Highest weekly total: Broadcasting and Real Estate at ₦108,000 a week, thanks to six working days.

Weekly totals assume one shift on each working day, so the more days a job runs, the bigger the week. The lowest-paying career is Content Creator at ₦6,600 a shift.

The skill gates

Some jobs need a skill at level 2 or 3: coding, charisma, fitness, hustle or comedy. A few accept either of two skills (Oil & Gas takes fitness or coding at 3; Civil Service in Abuja takes charisma or coding at 2). We do not yet know how to level each skill, so check in the game.

How to choose

1. Starting out: pick the best open job and work every shift.
2. Aiming higher: choose the gated job whose skill you can reach soonest, not just the one that pays most.
3. Other cities: Port Harcourt's Oil & Gas pays well, but you have to travel. See the travel guide.
