How to play Lagos Life: a beginner's guide
New to Lagos Life? This is the calm version of your first week. We stick to what we have seen in the game and say so where we have not.
1. Needs bars
Six bars: food π, energy β‘, fun π, social π¬, hygiene 𫧠and bladder π½. The game says green bars make a happy Sim, and your mood shows at the top of the screen. An early quest asks you to freshen up using the bucket or shower. More in needs and mood.
2. Jobs
Open the Jobs app. Every shift is one hour and can be worked any time. Careers range from β¦6,600 a shift (Content Creator) to β¦21,000 (Medicine), which needs a skill. With no skill, the best is Refining at β¦14,000. See the full jobs table.
3. Rent and bills
Rent is due weekly on Saturdays, according to owners, and company bills and tax come out the same day. Read rent and bills and try the rent planner.
4. Money
You earn from shifts and companies, and you can top up with the "+" button using real money. There is no cash-out. The Naija Reserve Bank offers savings and 7-day bonds (rates not verified). Never trade game money for real money.
5. Houses and cars
Housing goes up to a mansion at β¦1.5m a week. You can buy and arrange furniture. Cars start from β¦350,000 at Polanco Motors. Net worth on the Forbes list counts all of it.
6. Companies
Register a company in the Company app: β¦50,000 CAC fee plus setup. A food spot in Ikorodu is β¦140,000 in total. See the business guide and calculator.
7. Travel
There are three cities. You fly or take a coach. Abuja and Port Harcourt have their own jobs. See the travel guide.
8. Social features
Chat is based on location. The Messages app has direct messages by @username, group chats and home invites. You can throw an owambe at home with real guests, and the Stadium runs matches with tickets. There is a daily gem hunt too. Only send money to people you know.
